JOB
Summary:
Under the supervision of a registered Physical Therapist, performs treatments and provides exercise instruction and demonstration for patients.
Assists the Physical Therapist during patient testing, evaluations and complex procedures.
EDUCATION:
Associate Degree From accredited physical therapy assistant curriculum and successful completion of clinical field work LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Certification as a Certified Physical Therapist Assistant by the NBPTA Upon Hire Required andBasic Life Support (BLS) BLS certified RequiredADDITIONAL
Qualifications:
Proficient oral and written communication Maintains patient confidentiality Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity and ability to work effectively with patients and /or patient families, personnel, medical staff and general public.
